EA time and time again fail in their responsibilities to their user base.If it's not poor servers, it's mistakes that unbalance the game.However, the biggest issue is that they promote toxic behaviour.I've been quit on at 0-0 during 3 games so far this WL. The first was because I forced a corner early on, so they paused an quit. The second was due to a red card. The third was after I won a penalty, the person dashboarded.I should be getting 3 wins for this, instead I get punished because the person I'm playing against wants to be a *.

Or say they miss a pen or 2 in shootout and leave, all that and you don't even get win let alone they still get wl point. Overall the gaming experience is actually better to quit when losing a shootout than it is to carry on that's how pathetic it is.

@ajwilkins88 In my personal opinion, anger towards the gameplay is what is turning people towards making toxic moves like quitting at draws, celebrating all goals, refusing to help people out during friendly objectives etc...EA are partly to blame for that because they've created a time restricted, rewards driven game that's become hyper-competitive and feels like a part time job rather than a fun passtimeBUT I think the bigger responsibility comes from the user base. I think as a society the internet has caused people to become more toxic over the years. If you look at twitter as an example, people display behaviour from behind a screen that they would never display in the real world and I think some of that transfers into gaming. There's "Trolls" out there who exist purely to try and ruin everyone elses enjoyment of things rather than enjoying it themselves. Sadly a lot of those type of people exist within the EAFC / FIFA community. It's got progressively worse with every year of ultimate team that i've played

The other side of this is EAs horrendous matching of opponents. You are being paired with inferior opposition who will be sick of being put into games they know they will lose.

@ajwilkins88 Not sure what ea can do. If you give people wins who are not winning that’s not a good solution either. Imagine getting top 100 and bumping someone who actually won their games. Imagine hitting the leaderboard and never winning an actual game.

I suppose you could start banning quitters but then what do you do with people who have a bad connection and dc all the time.

@RadioShaqs I know this is only a game, however several real life Situations have seen either a replay by both teams or the other is awarded the win.
Its not that hard a thing to sort out.
The game can surely tell if it's connection or quit. Seeing as we're constantly told, check your connection. I have the connection icons on during the game so I know when I've been quit on.

Comparing quitting to real life is probably not really a good comparison.

I thought ea should have stopped golden goal when it started by punishing people quitting. The problem was ea supported it and the community thought it was the greatest thing ever.

That was when this punishing others started be it because of how you played or rage quitting or the most common reason was because one person wouldn’t play golden goal.

That was when they could have really done something now it’s just part of the culture.

They need to implement a time out for quitters - You quit once and you cant start another game for 20 minutes.. quit twice in a day and you can't for 40 minutes.
I've played UT since the first edition but haven't really played the last few. This year I've picked it up at the end as its on sale to play a bit during the euros. I have gone from div 10 to div 5 and I think I've only completed one or 2 games. I'm annoyed by that as I'm now facing people who are better than me all because i usually go 1-0 up early then start making mistakes. Both games i finished i went 1-0 up early and ended up losing the game.
I can't IMAGINE how annoying that must be in W/L when you only have a limited time to play the games.

@Penguin_Squishy You're right about the weekend league. Same number of games as it was last year and I try where I can to play it all in one sitting to get it out of the way, but it takes me nearly double the length of time to complete as it did last year due to the sheer number of people that quit at a draw. I had one guy this weekend quit in the last minute of extra time

The only game mode I semi understand it in, is friendlies. If you're going into a friendly mode that's already a short game, and your opponent is just passing it around the back, keeping posession desperately and then auto pressing if they do lose it... it really does feel pointless seeing out the rest of the game even if you still have the chance of winning
