I bought the game because they added women to career mode. Wish I hadn't, it's broken and unplayable. Tried to play a womens career mode using the Chicago Red Stars and gave up at the start of the second season. Here are the main problems.
1) Finances (wages, board goals, etc.) are all out of whack. Seems impossible to be profitable, even after stripping the roster down as much as possible. Board goals seem tied to the men's mode, and are therefore effectively impossible to achieve. Constantly squeezed on budget no matter what you do and don't have enough budget to sign good players.
2) Roster for Red Stars out of date. Included recent trades out but haven't added players recently acquired (Grosso and Ludmila). Starting point is really weak as a result.
3) Defending AI is broken. Defenders just stand and watch as opponent completes through passes. Constantly forced to try to take control, catch up and then play with one defender in the box against multiple attackers. Not fun.
4) Youth system is broken in some weird ways. Field players all have terrible heading scores and goalkeepers all have terrible diving. Didn't play long enough to find out, but doubt training up youth players will help finances much over time, given that you can't sell them for much and starting wages are high.
