How TF do i save formations and tactics?

I've been playing tournament mode against cpu, and it's impossible to save formations and tactics

How the **bleep** do you do it? what is the **bleep**ing problem with this piece of **bleep** game?

ive saved them in team sheets and it shows as saved, saved into squads and profile, but it still doesnt work

Is it even possible?

i have to keep manually changing it in every single game because the defaults keep coming back in tactic 2 and tactic 3
