It already feels like we are at the end of this game. They had one patch that was awesome and they managed to mess that up. The input delay is horrible. And this is worth a 100 quid??? Bruh! Stocks went down 16% which means even the core base players are tapping out and I can’t blame them. The inconsistency of this years game is absolutely trash.
I agree with you, and one of the most annoying things I experience is when I'm running, the player pushes the ball too far ahead. This push is the cause of the delay because, during the push, there’s a small time gap where you can perform a skill move while running. Try doing a skill move after pushing the ball and quickly holding the R2 button. You’ll notice that the player seems to copy the skill until you release the R2 button. Once you release it, the skill is executed immediately.
This delay is a problem because even when I’m one-on-one with the goalkeeper and want to shoot, the player doesn’t shoot right away; there’s a delay as if he’s telling the goalkeeper, "I want you to save it." The gameplay overall feels slow, heavy, and the player movement is bad. You might not notice this much in Ultimate Mode because the ball is passed and intercepted quickly, but in modes like Clubs, when playing with just one player, the game feels slow, heavy, and delayed, making it extremely boring. I used to love this mode, but now, when I play, I just stand still for half the match, watching how bad the game is.
I can’t do anything because everything is programmed. The game automatically handles tackles and interruptions. The players are slow, passing is poor, and the left stick feels useless. When you dribble past a defender, the game automatically intervenes, even if the opponent is moving in a different direction. It pulls the opponent toward the ball, causing you to lose possession. It's really frustrating.
