Toxic behavior, poorly coded gameplay on Seasons

I just discovered, sadly, that a match won't count if the opponent scores auto-goals.

I was winning a match River Plate (me) vs Manchester City on semifinals of season's EA Cup.
I started losing the match 0 - 2. I managed to win 7 - 3 by minute 80 or something. The guy right after the 7th goal, scored three auto goals. The match was cancelled. I didn't advance to the finals, the match didn't count at all. I had to play really focused because the guy played well. What is this crap? If I lose a match I have in my hands the power to ruin the match for my rival and deny him his rightful victory? I just lost 20 minutes of my time playing a match that didn't count. It is outrageous that the developers DO NOT CONSIDER THESE SCENARIOS. Do something, this is unacceptable for a 70+ USD game
