If you are discounting it can be your connection at fault.
But how if my connection never changes, even the EA connection tool tells me it never changes.
It's a wired 1 GB connection no jitter or packet loss and A* for bufferbloat. It's a perfect connection I've had 3 or 4 network experts tell me that. Never had a problem with any other game. EA know it's their servers they just don't know how to fix it or want to put any money into improving it.
This year seems to be more than ever with the amount of comments about delay and I'm pretty sure the reason is home broadband is improving. Where I live as probably one the best network infrastructures in the UK when it comes to jitter, packet loss, congestion etc. But until EA put money into improving their side it'll only get worst for everyone.
I think it depends on the console…. I have great connection but the input delay on ps5 is really heavy. Especially in WL. Some are moving to PC. A lot of content creators made the jump because of the input delay on PlayStation. I’m not moving to PC to just have better gameplay.
but really considering backing out of the game next year if Sony does not make an effort to help get the game playable.

I agree with Starscreamdali about the console remark. At some point I switched off literally every visual setting except for the radar. I have no score, clock, player names or anything, but the delay was a lot better (not gone, better!).
My guess is that EA put so much unnecessary junk in this game (realistic tattoos, waving hair in the wind, crowd cheering, etc), that the console they are making it for can't handle it anymore. They forgot about the essence of the game. It doesn't need to be a good game anymore, it just needs to look good.
Fixing the delay didn't make it a good game btw. It needs a lot more than that.
