Why i keep playing people from the other side of the world?

My online settings are set to find players as closes to me.

Yet i keep matchmaking with people from other side of the world

I live in canada. And my last 5 games in season has been against 

  • 1 in Uk
  • 2 in Italy
  • 1 in ireland
  • 1 in germany

WIch make the game so laggy. Unplayable

Im pretty sure there is enough people in canada , usa and mexico playing ea fc 25

    I understand, but my settings are set up so its supposed to find the closes person to me.  Again i live in eastern canada, and today i get matchmaking with people from japan and south africa an saudi arabia. How is japan the closes to me. Connection is horrible, unplayable

     

     

    Ive been buyin fifa since 2013. But this is the last strike, never again

    I play with people from all over the world also porckch0p514​ and rarely if ever see any issues with connection. Working on keeping your connection as good as it can be is important and something worth doing every few weeks.
