Inconsistent gameplay on PC

I can't normally be bothered to complain because nothing ever seems to change with this game, but I'll try just to add my voice to what others have been saying for years in the vain hope something will happen.

I use the term inconsistent in the title, but the gameplay IS actually mostly consistent. Consistently poor!  Meaning it feels like all input is delayed and the players are running through mud. Occasionally, I might get a few games in the week where the players feel responsive and don't feel like I'm sending my input by post. Most of the time this isn't the case.

After the major patch that sped the general speed of the game up about 6 months ago there was a period where the gameplay responsiveness was very good. In the last few months it's seems to have been downhill to such an extent that I've stopped playing. 

If anyone is reading this from EA - it's not my broadband connection or at least highly unlikely. I have a fast fibre broadband 300MB connection and play on about 10-25 ping. I play lots of fast action games and they all feel responsive. It's only FC25 that feels like this.
