Constant Crash on Startup - FC25!GetDenuvoTimeTicketRequest (Error c0000005)
I am having the exact same issue. I have already performed a clean Windows 10 install, converted my drive to GPT, enabled UEFI and Secure Boot, and installed all Visual C++ Redistributables (x86 and x64). My hardware (Intel Core i7-4720HQ) supports AVX2, so it is not a CPU instruction set issue.
I ran a WinDbg analysis on the Crash Dump and found the following:
FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: INVALID_POINTER_READ_c0000005_FC25.exe!Unknown
EXCEPTION_CODE_STR: c0000005
STACK_TEXT: FC25!GetDenuvoTimeTicketRequest+0x87e8a5
The game crashes immediately during the Javelin Anti-Cheat splash screen because it receives a Null Pointer when requesting the Denuvo Time Ticket. This is clearly a handshake failure between the EA Anti-Cheat and the Denuvo validation server.
This is frustrating for legitimate customers who are being locked out by security measures that seem to fail on clean installations or hardware migrations. EA, we need a technical solution for this specific Denuvo/Javelin handshake error.
