Ultimate team rivals bug

I am having the exact same issue on (EAFC25 PC) and unfortunately way worse since the big update. The best way i can describe it is that I lose control of my players for long periods of time as well as countless amount of times during a  rivals or champs game and not only that but everytime i take a corner kick and try to either swap the player or adjust the kick direction, i lose complete control and no controller input is registering except for the options/pause button. After the time runs out and the player just shoots by themself, i lose control yet again and can't even playerswap to even have a chance at defending and end up conceding a goal in the end.

When i eventually do have control over my players to make runs forward and pass the ball, the player suddenly passes it backwards and i again lose control of their movement except for any movement with the ball such as passing or shooting and when i try to pass it forward, it passes it backwards to my defender and eventually back to my keeper who then scores an own goal. 

This problem has occurred since the big update and it's costing me time and effort in an attempt to rank up in rivals and to qualify which i have failed to do in both because this bug keeps costing me countless of games. Extremely weird how i lose control over my own players but can pause the game without any issue so i can leave the game.

You explained it better than I could. We have exactly the same problem, and I have no idea what to do about it.

I completely understand your frustration. I am currently trying to complete the Gullit sbc as well and barely have any fodder left to submit so actually playing the game but with this current issue, it no joke hurts more to play the game than completing the sbc.

I really do hope it gets fixed soon so we can play champs as well.

Btw 20/23 completed on Gullit so i really need to play😭.

 I might have found both the solution and cause.

Try switching off cross-play and see if you are still having the same issue. i am currently on my second game with cross-play turned off and i honestly have not had the same issue as before where my players just completely freeze after a corner-kick or just randomly.

This has worked for me so far but i will try a few more games to see if my hypothesis is correct about the cross-play function.
