I was trying to play a squad battles game and when I tried to sprint using R2 on PlayStation the social menu kept coming up and happened everytime I tried to sprint. Same thing happened when I tried storing or discarding items from packs.

Yeah, it's happened to me a few times, tried restarting the game app and it still occurs then after a short while everything is ok, then it happens again another time, very annoying!.
No answer to this? I get the same xbox series s.
Can't play any game mode due to the socal menu popping up everytime I try and sprint.
It happened to me but when i pressed the middle xbox button on the controller for main menu and then exited back to game it stopped doing it.
Just frustrating that it’s a prominent issue, yet they make an objective a squad battle lol
Ok so I've had the same issue but I've found a kind of fix, pause the game and go to settings go to controllers settings and weirdly it showed me as alternate so changed it back to classic and it went away so maybe switch to alternate and back, and it will fix (for now)
hotfix is go to custom controls during a match, switch RT and LT save and change it back, save again. Like the post before mine.

I'm using the Elite 2 Xbox controller.
