Biggest games on the schedule are the worst
Honestly, at this point I don't know why I would expect anything from you goofballs, but I am so tired of the crap gameplay in this game. I am playing player career on legendary.
- The game is painfully boring against the best teams. You have completely overcooked how the CPU works to try to create a "challenge." It's not challenging; it's just painfully boring. There is no manual defending. If you are in the perfect position to get a tackle the opponent will magically pull up just short of you, or magically dribble through you, or shoot or pass through you. You are basically left with getting close to the CPU player and then they always, ALWAYS, get rid of the ball perfectly to a teammate who then, when marked by a CPU player on your team, will do something stupid like dribble right into them which then results in a tackle. Your "fix" to make the game a challenge ends up making it a painful boring slog. I feel like I ask this every time, but do you guys even play or test the game before you release it? Here is a hint to get people to play the game; make it fun. Make the big games rewarding still. Don't turn the player into a spectator where they are better off not defending at all because you children overcooked the CPU and, of course, just released it without any quality checks.
- I say this every time, and every time you don't fix it, but you have to make manual defending better where it rewards good positioning; which means increasing autotackling as positioning improves. Otherwise the game is just arbitrary nonsense where players are not rewarded for good play.
- THERE IS WAY TOO MUCH CROSSING IN THE NEW PATCH. So much pointless switching of the field, to go with the numberless pointless offsides calls.
- The CPU offense on your own team is too stupid for words. You won't get the ball if you make a perfect run, your players just stand around or drift into blocked passing lanes, or stand around offside. This is not fun.
- The team tactics are completely broken and you need to let players fix it in player career. There are two parts to this: one is that your current tactics setup is bad and completely misses how teams set up on either side of the ball and two is that the people who are coming up with the tactics for the teams have never actually watched football or the teams in particular. You should fire these people. I am currently playing in a 4-3-3 where only two centerbacks stay back to defend; not very realistic. To top that a good number of teams are leaving 3 people on offense at the centerline with no defensive responsibilities; also not terribly realistic if you have seen how teams actually defend. While I expect the players can immediately realize what happens without spelling it out; let me spell it out for the folks at EA; it's endless breakaways on the counter. You guys are really bad at this and you need to let the players fix your screwups.
