Controller doesnt work in future stars youth cup

Seriously what the hell! I've tried three times now to do something, anything, in youth cup. Now I'm getting a disconnection warning and coin penalty because the **bleep** game doesn't work! Fix this please! I've tried different fixes ( enabling steam input, disabling steam input, sync off and 60fps lock, avoiding using keyboard at all in start up. I am trying to get the 2nd future star contract but I can't do anything more than sporadic pass. My Handle is Krakuan, to those that I ended up pulling in the cup, I'm sorry for how it turned out, but I can't seem to do anything, its like every 4th or 5th button input registers and nothing on the analog sticks. What the hell am I supposed to do?
