I can totally see your point, and this is also why EA needs to get it toghether fast: 2K is VERY good with their single player offerings. FC (Then FIFA) was getting better steadily when they realized PES was getting hot on their trail, then Konami proverbially shot themselves in the foot with that... thing... that we call eFootball...
Still, the groundwork for a better SP offering has been laid out by EA for FC, would be a waste not to use it properly. Let's wait and see.
in fifa 2002 if i guess correct we could improve our ground and staff so that we get more sponsor money and had to manually set trainingstimes which we couldn't play but affected the stamina of the players at the next time if it was too close to the game which is much more like a manager than in nowadays game :/ since then they reduced mechanics and some reappeared again beeing hyped for the new feature ^^ if you want a single player fifa you rather search for a fifa arround 18 which kinda was the peek for the game i guess and where you had much more licences as well ;)
