[FC26][Xbox][Clubs][Goalkeeper] Ping disparity causes unfair delay for manual GK
Platform:
Xbox Series S
Game Mode:
Clubs – Be A Goalkeeper (Manual GK, 11v11)
Connection Info:
My latency: usually 40–50 ms
Opponents’ latency: commonly below 20 ms
Issue Description:
When playing as a manually controlled goalkeeper in Clubs, a consistent ping disparity (my ping significantly higher than opponents) causes major disadvantages for GK gameplay, including:
- Noticeable input delay on dives and positioning
- Incorrect or delayed animation selection
- Late recovery after save attempts (standing up too slowly)
- Shots registering before GK input is applied
This issue is much more severe for goalkeepers than for outfield players, especially under manual GK control.
Observed Behavior:
In matches where opponents have ~20 ms ping and I have 40 ms or higher, goalkeeper reactions feel delayed and inconsistent, even when inputs are made early and correctly.
Expected Behavior:
- Improved lag compensation specifically for manual goalkeepers
- Fairer input timing when ping disparity exists
- Reduced animation lock duration under higher latency
- GK actions should not be disproportionately punished by latency
Frequency:
Every match with noticeable ping difference
Additional Notes:
This issue directly impacts Clubs mode balance. Manual goalkeepers are currently at a significant disadvantage when playing against lower-latency opponents.
