Game bugs out

I have always enjoyed EA FC, especially this year's version with its authentic gameplay. However, every time I play, the game glitches so badly after just one match that I can't continue. I have to close the game and restart my laptop. I have adjusted my graphics settings many times, but it's becoming increasingly difficult to enjoy the game due to lag that affects my ability to control it. Please advise, as I can't keep dealing with this issue and want to be able to play normally.
