Gameplay is bad in Career Mode
I just want authentic feeling games. You guys pay all this money in licensing and then can't even deliver something that feels mildly realistic.
Just fix the CPU attacking logic or make user CPU defenders worse. Stop with these ridiculous hacks to try to make the the CPU attack better.
Shielding is overpowered; players that are not that strong are routinely holding off user player or bumping them 3 yards off like they are mid 2000's Shaq.
Pace is off. You have to full sprint to run down CPU dribblers that are not that fast.
Tackling is screwed up like '25 again. It should be really embarrassing to you guys that people choose to avoid manual defending even in the online leagues with your best players and yet here we are. The ball routine bounces out of tackles with too much force, regularly to an opponent. Too often tackles aren't recorded. I had one today where I took the ball from an opponent off the dribble and lost points and got a "look to pass to teammates" message. Great work.
Manual defending is screwed up. This one is pretty obviously part of the fact that you guys can't figure out human movement, but it's way too hard to get into the right position with your controls and the views available. You should make tackling super duper easy if you get in the right position; like automatic.
The tackle button has all the human like fluidity of a very intoxicated person on ice skates. In general you guys struggle with this, but it's off the charts with tackling. Again it should be embarrassing to you guys that even some of your very best players don't bother with manual defending. I like manual defensing, but I hate that you guys made it good only to then make it bad by reintroducing crazy CPU defending and then putting in hacks to make the attacking better; that made manual defending bad.
Through balls should never, in the history of ever, go right to an opponent; or at least not this often.
Figure out the whole team logic for making the CPU better. You guys pretty obviously rely juicing the CPU players near the controlled player for "difficulty" and you guys have so obviously over cooked it. Every CPU dribbler becomes a waterbug as soon as you get near them (they also become super fast and super strong see above). Meanwhile you will watch the CPU dribble into a CPU defender like a blindfolded person driving again and again and again. Just figure out a way to make the team you are playing better and more competitive and cut the crap with these hacks.
In career mode you have to work to develop your player or team and it feels exceedingly pointless to invest in this development when the game basically turns the CPU players into super soldiers around you. Why invest time in building speed or buying fast players if they can't catch a 74 rated pace player dribbling below a sprint unless you chase them across the entire field. It isn't realistic. It's just hack difficulty because you guys can't figure out how to balance the game between attack and defense; and especially manual defending.
And as an old high school American football coach would say, "There is too much grab a-- out there." If I bump into an opponent 50 yards off the ball I get held. I bounce off players and go in these huge loops like I am stuck in some sort of gravitational warp. It is worse than in prior years and it's super dumb. Just tone it back down to prior year's levels. It silly and contrived.
