Had a ton of fun in FC 25 Manager Career Mode, so I thought I'd try 26...yeah I couldn't agree any more with OP here! The CPU is fundamentally broken in this mode, haven't checked other modes. Mostly played tactical but dynamic and custom settings don't really help to solve the issue.
On Offense:
The AI is extremely passive advancing and shooting the ball on offense. They basically don't do anything...no dribbling past defenders, no crossing, barely any through-passes and refusing to shoot the ball on goals.
On Defense:
The AI either drops really deep and park the bus, relentlessly trying to block low passing lanes but get are lost defending lob passes and double-passes. Or presses the player basically the entire size of the pitch, being super aggressive with standing tackles, never miss-timing any of 'em but are extremely vulnerable and easily exploited with any passes.
The result is very boring gameplay that never challenges the player in any way...playing FC 26 on the same difficulty as 25 on Manager Career Mode and it honestly seems like the AI is broken and not working as intended! Please fix your game EA!
P.s.: You might also want to take a look and emberassing glitches like the tucked in jerseys being completely broken while you're at it. It would be nice to buy a game that is out of beta for once...🤫
