FC26 career mode is unplayable because it feels like playing a five year old - even on ultimate difficulty. I have been playing career mode for 20 years on the toughest difficulty, and this season has probably the worst career mode experience in regards to challenging gameplay. Even with insane increase and decrease in sliders (to the AI’s favor) it feels way too easy to play and I win easily with Oldham Athletic (a 4th tier team from England) versus premier league teams. I’m number one in my league with no one close. Every goal is the same and the AI defences are literally looking at me running past them. Compared to fc25, AI defence is just the worse. But when it comes to offense this years fc26 is out of this world bad. The AI decision making is just horrible. I tired tweaking the AI behavior and all other relevant settings in all possible ways, but they just keep being rubbish. At least FC25 was challenging in regards to winning the league.

I always presume that EA ruins the game more and more every year (because they only focus on money and ultimate team) but this year is just a slap in the face.

If you make the “toughest” difficulty easier to play - THEN ADD ANOTHER F’ING DIFFICULTY! how hard is that to do? Get real.

So true - and we know they read all this feedback from the release - they choose not to fix it. And also, they must do this on purpose. Ruining things that work, to force people on FUT. So obvious.
the attacking AI was actually better in FC24 and 25, after years without a challenge. And then they ruin it.

But somehow, in all these years, the AI is challenging defensively and offensively in squad battles in FUT. So Why can’t we have that AI in career mode? It’s on purpose and should be illegal.

Mate it's an absolute joke how they've ignored this, I completely understand how you feel, I play on Ultimate difficulty with sliders boosted to 99 shot frequency, marking and tackle aggression; and the AI still doesn't defend, mark, intercept or tackle, and going forward they're just as bad.

I've tried every slider, and nothing works, the game is fundamentally broken, and they know it, what an embarrassing company, genuinely pathetic and the community devs on this forum don't care one bit.
