Love the stats showing where your players are in history I find it really interesting and wish Fifa would tell you in your games so you have done your research kudos for that. An interesting summer not overhauling the team is a wise move to many teams get promoted sign a load of new players and find themselves relegated before the players get a chance to gel.

Exactly. My contention is that a complete overhaul may have been a reason for Málaga's downfall a decade ago, signing loads of top players, but having to offload them again soon after. Furthermore, a slow build IS also my usual approach in Career Mode, so I suppose I was aligned with the club here.
At some point I'm going to sign a few more expensive players and make a top 10 transfer for the club. I have come close with three +3m signings. But that will have to wait for now.
I agree that EA would do well to include these stats etc. However, they were actually quite difficult to find, and I'm not even sure I have the correct numbers. Transfermarkt didn't even have Pedro Bazán or Julio Orozco listed, so finding all these players and their supposed goals and appearances wasn't as easy as it should have been. Before EA can be expected to include these things, clubs should first be better to show it on their websites.

Solid start to the season nice getting points on the board early with back to back wins and the team showing character grabbing a point after going behind for the first time this season. There will be tougher games to come but a great start to boost confidence beating fellow new boys Eibar and although Sevilla aren't the same team they were 5 years ago still a very big scalp to take early doors

Thanks, yeah it's been a good start for sure. A part of me wanted to have struggled a bit more, seeing into a foreseeable future with a fight to avoid relegation. But once the ball is kicked, it's hard not to go for the win, isn't it? Good form continued in the next run of games as well, so it seems the relegation battle is cancelled for now...

Chupete starting this season as he finished his last helping the team loads scoring goals again. Unbeaten start with the chance to go top with a game in hand depending who its against.

True. A bit slower from the start with 1 in 3, far from the more than one goal per game rate from last season, also showing the increased quality of the opposition. However, now with 4 in 6, he's showing his quality in the top tier as well...
I don't know why we have this one game in hand. Last season the games followed each other quite well, having always played the same as other teams. I can't see why games are not syncronized this season in La Liga.

Those are awesome results: you're in the run for a European ticket, possibly even Champions League. And all that with very smart, low budget transfers: impressive!
