I'm also not a fan of this. But one just needs to play a few games, and then most of the players will approach you and ask for a new contract. And then you just need to make it a long one, since you can't know when they'll be open to negotiations again.

There is a welcome challenge here, since you can't just except every player to be wanting a new contract in a real life. But is does seem to be too random, whether or not these players will negotiate a deal. And when...
