After the deep dive + pitch notes

From the looks of the deep dive, and the pitch notes it looks like a promising game. It's made me contemplate giving the game one last chance next year, but I will either have to wait for the beta, and if I don't get that then it will be based on what people say.

I've seen a few people online complaining about timed finishing being removed, and the possible goalkeeper buff. They are ridiculous complaints, as long as keepers aren't too powerful then they both serve to increase the skill gap. It will be based on working spaces and precise shots, rather than some bs mechanics and goalkeepers that couldn't save a 10 year olds shot. Some people just want it to be too easy to score, and act like just because they got 1 on 1 or got close to goal that they deserve a goal. But finishing skill should be just as important when it comes to beating a keeper.

The change to Trivelas is a positive, and the new playstyles look interesting. If playstyles are staying then I will have to try and get along with them. I'm glad to see that the base skills of players have been reviewed though. The changes to animations also sounds promising, if it goes towards making the gameplay more consistent then it's good. It will also be interesting to see if it has an impact on delay.

I won't go into everything but, all in all I think it looks positive, and I have high hopes that we are somewhat closer to what made the game good in the first place. Is there going to be any information around formations being rebalanced? I know there was a glimpse it was happening in the first release video, but I was just wondering if we are being told more about what that means?
