I totally agree on that. In friendlies you were able choose the speed settings in all previous versions, so it should be no problem to give players to opportunity to use authentic mode.
I'm playing in a privately organized full manual league with more than 40 other people from all over the world. We use friendly mode to play our games. It would be a game changer for us to use the authentic settings online.
