The whole community’s been saying the same thing for years—pros like Gravesen, big YouTubers like DJMariio, everyone. Ditch the new ranks like '1, 2, 3, 4, 5.' They’re pointless, no vibe, no magic. Just bring back Silver, Gold, Elite, and Top 100. Maybe add something new, but please, bring those ranks back, man!
I totally forgot—what’s up with this new ranking system in EA FC 26? Ranks 5 to 1 across three different Champions tiers? What’s the point of that? It’s like, 'Yo, I hit Rank 1, but it’s in the middle or lower Champions tier, bro?' What even is that? The whole point of grinding to Elite was to flex and say, 'I MADE ELITE!' Not to hit Rank 1 and have to explain it’s in some lower-skill Champions bracket. That’s so bad, man.
Hopefully it helps the matchmaking. What would happen before is say someone just barely made it they had to play pros because form doesn’t make sense.
Now the top champions will be harder as good players will have to play each other. This also give players not so good less rewards but a similar experience where they play liked skilled players.
Alright, I get it. I understand that this new system is designed to have top players compete against each other to ramp up the competitiveness, while lower-skill players can have more fun playing among themselves. I see the point there. But my issue isn’t about the competitiveness of the mode. My point is the total lack of magic in calling the ranks 1 through 5. And on top of that, calling a Rank 1 in the lower-skill Champions the same as a Rank 1 in the tougher Champions? It’s just not clear, and like I said, it’s got no magic. Saying 'I got to Gold 1, didn’t quite make Elite' or actually hitting Elite—that felt epic. Now saying 'I got to Rank 2'? Man, that’s just boring as hell
