Career mode boots

I’ve recently started a live career mode, I’m a type of player that likes to change up the boots on players but the issue I’m having is that every time I go to a player to change the boots and go into a live the boots aren’t there it goes into the default black ones. I keep change the boots on the players each time but it seems like it doesn’t save. Anyone else with this issue?
