Thanks for clarifying, but I still feel the wording of the disclaimer itself is misleading.
The disclaimer for the Early Bird promotion states that it’s valid for purchases from ea.com, the EA app, or participating retailers. It does not say that only the Microsoft Store (for Xbox) is valid, nor does it limit console purchases strictly to digital storefronts.
It also doesn’t mention anything about a redemption deadline — it only specifies that you had to pre-order or purchase before the cutoff date. From a customer perspective, buying the Ultimate Edition through Amazon before that deadline should reasonably qualify under “participating retailer.”
That’s why I’m asking for clarification: if Amazon Xbox purchases were never considered eligible, or if there was in fact a hidden redemption requirement, why wasn’t that made explicit in the disclaimer itself?
Furthermore, the snippet about “only authorized online digital resellers of EA console games” is not in the disclaimer itself. It’s buried inside a collapsible section of a PC-focused help article about premium currencies and PC digital downloads. From a customer perspective, it’s not at all clear that this would apply to an Amazon Xbox pre-order.
