Clubs Boots – Why Are We Left Behind?

Hi EA Team,

I’d like to raise something that’s been bothering Pro Clubs players for years now – boot updates and selection in Clubs compared to other modes.

When new boots get added to FC, they always appear in Career Mode and Create-a-Player first. In Clubs, however:

  • A lot of the new real-life boots never make it over.
  • Some boots that were available at launch even get removed later on.
  • Instead, we’re left with a small handful of “EA boots” that honestly don’t look good, and don’t give the same immersion or personal identity.

Pro Clubs is the mode where we spend hours building and customising our Virtual Pros. Looks matter here just as much as stats – it’s part of the fun, the immersion, and the sense of representing yourself on the pitch.

But right now it feels like:

  • Career Mode/Create-a-Player players get all the new boots,
  • Ultimate Team players get regular updates,
  • Pro Clubs players get ignored.

That doesn’t make sense, because we’re one of the most loyal communities in the game.

Another point is the Club Store. We understand there’s a lot of customization available through it, but the truth is, most players don’t care about EA-made boots and random designs. What we want is the real-life boots that already exist in Career Mode and Create-a-Player. Those authentic boots should be in Clubs from the start, or at least added alongside updates. The Club Store can stay for cosmetics, but boots should never be restricted or replaced with generic designs when immersion and authenticity matter so much to the Pro Clubs community.

Hairstyles Need Updating

Another issue that makes no sense is the lack of new hairstyles for Clubs and Career Mode. There are generic players in the game (players without real faces) who have fresh, updated hairstyles — but we can’t pick those same hairstyles for our Virtual Pros. If the hairstyles are already in the game, why can’t we access them?

The hairstyle catalog for Pro Clubs and Career Mode has been basically the same for five years, with no real changes. Players want more options, more realistic looks, and the ability to recreate themselves or their favorite players properly. Right now, we’re stuck with outdated, unrealistic styles that nobody really wants to use.

EA should start adding new hairstyles regularly, just like you do with boots. At the very least, give us access to the hairstyles already in the game for generic players. Pro Clubs is about identity and self-expression — so limiting us on something as simple as hair doesn’t make sense anymore.

The images attached show exactly what we’re talking about — some generic faces and boots that are missing from Clubs. For example, the boots shown with the Lyon kit are the Clubs boots, while the ones shown with the Man City kits are available in Career Mode, Create-a-Player, and Kick-Off, but not in Clubs. This makes no sense. Please don’t ignore this — we know you can add these into the game, and doing so will only make more people play Clubs and enjoy it. Clubs players deserve more customization, better hairstyles, and access to all the same real-life boots as other modes. We don’t want to wait until FC 27 for this to change — this is the start of a new game, so fix it now and watch how much the community will appreciate it.
