Current state of the game

IMO the frequent patches have ruined this game it’s no longer free flowing… every game is the same and you’re consistently punished for not playing drop back counter… the ai is ridiculous… players are just controlling one cm and the ai does all the aggressive defending for them… the only way to win creates an experience which is not fun and nothing like the beautiful game… mass changes are needed because this could be dead before toty at this rate… the player drop off is massive… there is no point in evos as they’re no where near meta so using them put you at a disadvantage… evos have been a good addition but they need to be feasible to use on multiple players but at the moment all you see is van de ven, rashford, camavinga etc… but don’t worry ea will bring out a similar card in the next promo so everyone can have it… the only game mode that’s ok is gauntlet because people are forced to use non meta players… it’s something that’s needs to be looked at before people leave for good

  • Drop back defending should be more sloppy. People who rely on it too much need more punishment for it. The AI stamina should drain rapidly too for all the running back to defend. How EA_Darko EA have not addressed this is beyond me.

Players need more punishment for drop back tactics.

People right now are relying way too much on the AI.

EA, this is one you to address. It should be more based on human skill.

With every new patch, the whole community holds its breath. Not out of anticipation of a problem that might finally be solved, but out of fear of what EA screwed up now. How to destroy a good product within weeks. Unbelievable

  • The point of no return has passed, it only goes downhill now. They can't patch the game, I don't know if they are to incompetent, the code is too broken or if it's a combination of both. Everytime they try to fix something, five other things break. And I don't get it, after the release the majority of content creators and players called it the best Fifa since years. Why the hell do you start throwing out patches. If there are problems, test it and release the patch after 6 weeks. What EA is doing right now is what devs of an early access game are doing. Rerelease the 1.0 version, don't touch it and see where it goes. Because what you're doing right now clearly doesn't work.

The best decision they could have made, keep Fifa 23, reset the game in September, tweak it a little, sell it for 20€ and work on a completly new Fifa from scratch.

Exactly! Second rule as a developer: if it ain't broken, don't try to fix it! They had a good product, they ruined it and the more they work on it, the worse it gets!

  • Part of the problem is that it was broken on release. The game had serious defensive flaws that needed addressing and kick off goals. There were things in desperate need. But what EA have done is beef the defending AI up and that's not what was needed. Adjustments sure, but not hand holding. 2nd man press needs a nerf. We have been here so many times before and EA don't seem to learn.

I don't get invited to the yearly Beta because I play Seasons and EA don't care about that. Play UT the most unrealistic mode and they want to know you. You will get a Beta code then. That says it all to me. EA want to cater to an unrealistic, nothing resembles football mode above all else. And this is the result of not inviting true footballing sim people.

Barely any of those so called "pro" (sweat) streamers play any form of real football. It's embarrassing to watch over 5 of the same rubbish style goals go in while they wipe their forehead from all the sweat.

And that my friends is why FC26 is in this mess. The wrong people get listened to.
