Defending

Playing career mode and when the opposition is attacking why doesn’t any of my players decide to track back and help defend most of the time the opposition score due to me bringing the defender out but then my players don’t go and cover the gap or help me win the ball back for example I was my Cb standing in front of the striker and my cdm was just watching not helping at all 

I think this has something to do with the 1v1 defending that was implemented a few fifas back but honestly it just feels really unfair and makes defending harder for me especially playing Man City
