FC 26 Should not remove TIME FINISH SHOOT or keep it as an option like FC 25

  • The Time Finish shooting mechanic in EA Sports' FIFA series has profoundly enriched gameplay, offering a sophisticated layer of skill-based challenge that deeply resonates with both casual players and competitive enthusiasts. Retaining this mechanic in FC 26 is essential to preserve the strategic complexity and immersive realism that players have come to expect from EA Sports. Unlike simpler shooting methods, Time Finish rewards precision, timing, and skillful execution, creating exhilarating moments where player input directly translates into tangible, rewarding outcomes. The satisfaction derived from perfectly timed shots significantly enhances player engagement, offering an adrenaline-inducing experience reminiscent of high-stakes real-world football scenarios.
  • Time Finish is distinctive in its ability to balance accessibility with mastery. While new players can easily grasp the basic execution, experienced gamers continually find depth through mastering timing nuances, ensuring sustained engagement over countless gaming sessions. The mechanic incentivizes continuous practice and skill development, essential elements that foster long-term player retention. Furthermore, Time Finish enhances the strategic dimension of FC 26, compelling players to make split-second decisions about when to attempt these high-risk, high-reward shots. Such strategic depth maintains a dynamic and varied gameplay experience, preventing predictable patterns that could diminish replayability.
  • Moreover, the inclusion of Time Finish significantly enriches competitive gaming environments, reinforcing EA Sports' commitment to providing a credible esports platform. Competitive players frequently rely on precise timing mechanics to differentiate themselves in tournaments, and the removal of Time Finish would undermine the skill-based integrity of FC 26 competitions. Retaining Time Finish ensures that gameplay remains aligned with real-world football scenarios where precision and timing decisively influence match outcomes. Its preservation thus maintains authenticity, a core value central to EA Sports' brand.
  • Player feedback consistently highlights the value of Time Finish, praising its nuanced impact on gameplay and the genuine satisfaction it provides. The mechanic's presence directly correlates with increased player satisfaction, deeper immersion, and heightened emotional investment. Eliminating such a well-regarded feature risks alienating a loyal fanbase accustomed to this rewarding gameplay dynamic. EA Sports' dedication to player-centric development further necessitates considering community sentiment seriously, thereby reinforcing Time Finish's continued relevance.
  • In conclusion, maintaining the Time Finish shooting mechanic in FC 26 is imperative to preserve the game's strategic depth, competitive integrity, and immersive authenticity. Its unique blend of accessibility, skillful mastery, and strategic importance not only heightens player enjoyment but also supports long-term engagement. Retaining Time Finish ensures that FC 26 continues to deliver compelling, skill-based gameplay that authentically replicates the excitement and unpredictability of real-world football, solidifying EA Sports' reputation as an innovator in the sports gaming industry.

  • Time finishing is **bleep**. I used it maybe 3 times, it's more like a QTE style gameplay. Low driven is more realistic and how most goals are scored anyway

  • Low driven will likely be easier and op. I think they want to promote easier and higher scoring games. Without realism the op mechanics no longer really matter.

  • Yeah that's true, the passing improvements concern me. I'm worried it may turn into a ping pong simulator. The passing is already highly assisted in FC25.

But removing Timed Finishing and Focusing on precision shooting is definitely the right move. It's a lot easier for them to balance this mechanic, promoting fair play. I just hope they removed timed finishing for the right reasons and not just because it conflicts with the new low driven shot controls. Which could possibly be just another broken mechanic.

  • I don’t care about Time Finish. Good that they removed it because even cheaters were using it.

  • It really just depends what mode you play. If you play online they no longer care about realism when balancing the game.

What would make more sense is just have offense be manual if you want a bigger skill gap. It’s hard to tell with online being arcade if they want more skill or just make things easier. More pace more ping pong passing no stamina nerfing defense higher scoring games.

  • Did you really just say Timed Finishing preserves immersive realism? Yeah because in real life players have a meter above their head, increasing their shot power and accuracy with the push of a button. Though it may be skill based, the skill required to master it is minimal. It's essentially just tapping a button twice.

EA are encouraging players to use precision shooting, where players will have to choose the right shot type in different situations.  Adding decision- based skill, which is far more skill based than this mechanic. It's the right move.

  • It would be nice to fix the cheating issue , and Nerf the TRIVELA , but keep the Time shot

Cheaters we're using it and scoring ridiculous green timed shots. Had to go I'm afraid.
