Fix for Precision Shooting: Implementation of Proximity Logic
The Issue: Precision Shooting in FC 26 is technically superior for the 10-16 yard range, but it is currently flawed inside the 6-yard box because it lacks Proximity Logic.
Technical Breakdown:
- The "Dead Zone": Currently, the manual sensitivity for a 5-yard tap-in is identical to a 25-yard screamer. This creates a "Dead Zone" where a 1-degree stick error—often caused by minor server jitter—results in a miss.
- The Comparison: On Assisted settings, the game recognizes proximity and "snaps" shots on target. On Precision, the player is punished for the very accuracy the setting is supposed to reward.
- The "Off" Feeling: Especially during high-traffic promo days, the "handshake" between the left stick and the server is slightly desynced. This makes surgical players feel "off" because the game isn't respecting their intent inside the box.
The Simple Fix: Implement Contextual Assistance. As a player gets closer to the goal (under 6 yards), the "magnetic snap" of Precision Shooting should scale up.
- Reward the Tactician: If a player has used their ability to get 5 yards out, the game should facilitate the finish, not make it a geometry test against server lag.
- Consistency: Ensure that manual input sensitivity is normalized based on distance to the goal to prevent "sitter" misses.
