Good skilled matchmaking in Flash events and AI Defending

I have complained several times about events and only good matchmaking I had was in rivals. In the flash events ( no rules..) I found very good skilled matchmaking.  I have been able to win one (And not easily but the ones I lost was also not demolished) in 3 something which is reasonable but I don’t get it in other event modes, So I think you should introduce it more because it makes gameplay fun and not a chore. When I play players way above my level after I score one it’s done, then I play easy mode but it’s a chore.

AI Defending - Long opinion but you asked for input :)

I’m at Div8 so not sure what the issues are at high divisions , however I have an opinion at my level …. True if you play buildup ( I do) and the opponents defence is park the bus it’s tough. When being countered AI defence and defence in general does not exist, you can know what the opponent will do cover passing lanes do 2 v1 and it’s still very hard, there the second defender which is AI controlled does nothing, also your midfields need to be brought manually while defending, that could be fixed. What I would change? barges from behind which work and should  be a foul, while trying to play inside the box; would increase AI  for brainless cutbacks, no dribbling no creation of space, no play is done, you see it coming manually defend and apply pressure nothing works and AI does not help; interceptions on the counter and second defender AI assistance makes sense; For dribbling inside the box and getting in if it’s park the bus I would give more leniency specially removing unrealistic barges from defenders and fouls from goalkeepers, you turn sideways hiding the ball he just throws your player down.
I respect the approach of taking it with caution as it needs to be small tweaks, however manual defending can be much more rewarded in interceptions, jockeying, tackles compared to AI , I believe that would be universal that manual defending trumps AI defending.

Not an easy change you need to nail it or you risk not pleasing neither of the groups. I believe a buff to manual defending is needed. And also that people are not complaining about overall defending AI , I believe counters, cutbacks AI is poor, 451 midfield press and park the bus in the area and using AI too defend  is where it feels too much.
