Issue: EAFC 26 Pre Order Ultimate Edition
I recently pre ordered the ultimate edition but I was unaware there was an actual expiry date on receiving the Icon for EAFC 26. I think the idea of an expiry date on extra pre order content is ridiculous anyway. The only expiry date on a pre order should be when the game actually releases.
I had contacted EA Help who informed me it wasn't possible to still avail of the Icon pre order. I explained I had paid the same money and actually bought Battlefield 6 Phantom edition too and that I wasn't looking to get something for free, I have been a loyal customer for years and this was only a small request but apparently it couldn't be fulfilled.
So now there is a situation where people who have paid the same money for a pre order receive an icon vs some who don't.
The5ftToothPick2 I understand that sentiment, but the date was not hidden, so there was an opportunity for everyone to see it. Think of it like an extra loyalty bonus, for those who went ahead and jumped in for the next installment, without waiting for all of the finer details and things that could have an influence on their decision.
It may not be best for everybody circumstantially, but if everyone theoretically did have an opportunity to participate, you can't ask much more than that, so I definitely wouldn't expect anything to be done about this.
