Nintendo Switch version information

Hi everyone!

We've wanted to clear up some questions regarding the FC 26 Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions.

If you purchase the Nintendo Switch 2 version via the Nintendo eShop you will get the Nintendo Switch version at no additional cost.
Please note that this is only available for digital purchases through the Nintendo eShop. It also won't be available in Asia.

If you purchase the Nintendo Switch version, you will get a discount (based on your country and currency) towards the Nintendo Switch 2 version.
Once again, this only applies for digital purchases through the Nintendo eShop.

Keep in mind that there is no crossplay functionality between the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions, as they are different games. Owners of the Nintendo Switch 2 version will need to install the Nintendo Switch version to play with friends on the Nintendo Switch.

Hi! So I bought the switch 2 version and now want to play on the switch 1. But it says: "This version game card cannot be entered because it is not supported by this system."
Is there a solution to still be able to access the game?
Feels like I just lost at least the money for preordering the game.
Looking forward to hearing about this

There is still no Switch to Switch 2 Upgrade… and no discount of any sort on the Switch 2 Version.
When will it be available?
There was no option to preorder the ultimate version Switch2 in early august so I ha dto preorder the switch one.

Seems they added the “upgrade” from switch 1 to switch 2.
I have a 86% discount code on the Switch2 version, goes less than 10€

Has anyone tried this and has it worked i.e you get the switch 1 version for free when you buy the digital version for switch 2?

it’s good you’re communicating with the Nintendo community. I’m on console (XBOX) & the game is unplayable. Can somebody either assist me or offer me a refund please?

Hi - so If I buy the switch 2 version onto my Nintendo downloads - I’ll be able to play the switch version before I buy my switch 2?

can you update this post as i just bought fc 26 and didnt get switch one version a little disapointed. edit you need log on to your switch 1 go e shop its 100% free. which is bloody great for once EA you did good
