Do you remember how they've promoted the game? "We've listened to you (the community)" 😂 unfortunately, until people will stop spending and EA won't make profit, nothing will change. Yet, i totally agree with what OP said.
P.S: I've been playing this franchise since FIFA '98
I remember having fun with some old FIFA games and some years when EA invest 0 in the game, still I buyed the game. 09-12 I liked more PES than FIFA. A big plus for EA was club's licenses. Maybe we will have another company to make a better game in the future.
