Proposal for New FC Mobile Card Category – National Legend

Dear EA Sports FC Mobile Development Team,

I am writing to propose the introduction of a new player card category in FC Mobile titled “National Legend.” This category would recognize retired players whose legacy and historical impact were primarily defined by their performances and influence with their national teams, particularly in major international tournaments.

While the current Icon and Hero categories successfully honor global career greatness and memorable club contributions, there remains an opportunity to formally highlight players who became symbolic figures for their countries through FIFA World Cup and continental championship performances.

Category Concept: National Legend

Purpose:

To honor retired players who had exceptional influence, leadership, or defining moments with their national teams.

Positioning Within Current Structure:

Icon – Global, all-time career greatness

Hero – Club-based legacy or iconic moments

National Legend – International tournament and national team impact

Presentation Format in Game:

Visual Identity:

Card design incorporating national colors and flag elements.

Tournament year badge (e.g., World Cup 1998 Edition).

Sub-label highlighting a key international achievement (Golden Boot, Finalist, Captain, etc.).

Chemistry Concept:

Strong nationality-based chemistry boost.

Additional synergy when paired with players from the same national team era.

Special boosts during international-themed events (World Cup, EURO, etc.).

Eligibility Criteria:

Retired players only.

Significant impact in World Cup, EURO, or other major international tournaments.

Recognized leadership or defining historical importance for their country.

Below is a sample list of 10 retired Croatian players who could fit the National Legend category:

Zvonimir Boban – Leader of the 1998 bronze generation

Davor Šuker – 1998 World Cup Golden Boot winner

Robert Prosinečki – Key contributor in 1998

Niko Kovač – Long-time captain and leader

Robert Kovač – Defensive pillar of the golden era

Igor Štimac – Core defender during major tournaments

Aljoša Asanović – Creative midfielder of the 1990s generation

Slaven Bilić – Defender in historic tournaments

Mario Mandžukić – World Cup final goal scorer (retired)

Danijel Subašić – 2018 World Cup penalty shootout hero (retired)

This category would preserve the prestige of Icons while adding a distinct and emotionally powerful tier dedicated specifically to international football history. It would also create new chemistry mechanics, increase engagement during global tournaments, and provide fresh content and monetization opportunities within FC Mobile.
