It’s not necessary for Clubs mode to be exactly like Ultimate Team. In Ultimate Team, you play Rivals to slowly improve your squad, and then you play FUT Champions every week because the rewards are strong and you can get good players. But adding a playoff system in Clubs with 15 matches, almost identical to FUT Champions—what are the rewards? More fans, team ranking, and coins?
Many players don’t care about that. What really matters for them is playing, having fun, and winning trophies. A lot of players don’t even stay in one club; they move between different clubs just to enjoy the game. So what’s the point of these rewards? Especially since playoffs are held monthly, not daily or weekly, which doesn’t fit Clubs mode.
What fits Clubs mode is this: when you reach Elite Division, you should earn a trophy after achieving a certain number of points, either to avoid relegation or to win the cup. That’s very fun. And the playoff rewards could instead be linked to winning the cup—for example, qualifying for another knockout-style tournament (like the current playoffs) held at a specific time, maybe weekly, with another trophy to lift. This way, Clubs players would feel like they are winning a league title and then qualifying for bigger tournaments, similar to the Champions League or World Cup.
What keeps all teams consistently playing at the highest level is having this type of competitive structure. I believe it would be very exciting if implemented correctly. 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
EA don't care about clubs, it doesnt make them any money. :(
I don’t know what’s wrong with their system when they make the league format consist of 5 divisions, and then every month the team is reset back to Division 5 again. Even in Ultimate Team, you only get pushed back two divisions. But in Clubs mode, if you’re Elite, you’ll still be sent back to Division 5 every month. Guys, the league system in Clubs mode seriously needs a full reconsideration. We’re not asking for much—just a proper system of points, cups, promotion, and relegation based on the team’s performance.

As long as they say they are listening to players and feedback and working on fixing things, that means our role as players to make the game better is by sharing notes and feedback. So this is what we need to do right now, and let’s hope they will listen to us and fix things.
