I think I have solved the issue. for LG anyway as im on an LGB5 OLED. 

you need to turn of dynamic tone mapping in the TV settings. 

press settings in your remote > game optimiser > picture > dynamic tone mapping (towards the bottom of the list)  > set to “off” 

Should sort out the issues
