Smurfs?

Hi, I completely agree with you.
I consider myself a fairly average player. Last year I played consistently in D6 and was struggling to get to D5, and I was satisfied because I knew I wasn't very good.
This year I started the DR in D8, but after a few days I was demoted to D9 because the quality of the players I face is too high and I can't compete with them.
It's very frustrating and humiliating to play like this.
I know this problem is very common this year, but despite the many reports on this forum, it seems the staff is trying to ignore us.
However, hope is the last thing to die, and I hope something is done to resolve it as soon as possible.

I was playing at Div 4 last season, got demoted at Division 6 and all of a sudden every game has a smurf trying to hang on Div 6 for WL only. I now got stuck on Div 7-8 sweating against those smurf. As a casual I think this thing needs a change, more like remove relegations on the whole division thing, because noone is going up or down this days so he can keep playing and grow his ego or just play WL each time freely and without sweat.

It's horrendous, it's been obvious nobody is in the right division, player locking all over the shop in div 8 , lol, rewards are abysmal so the wannabe pro super sweats just lurk around in the lower divisions convincing themselves their great players whilst spanking casuals 10 nowt every game , it's pathetic 

Last year I was div 4 getting 7 or 8 wins in every weekend lge this year stuck in div 7 playing that other garbage challenger or whatever it's called , hardly motivation for casuals to even bother 

Last year we started the same, after some months (after the TOTY event i guess), everything was fine. I don't know if the problem is the rewards, or the the people who want to get paid for some services or even fulfill their ego on the lower divisions. As i said the only thing to stop this is to remove relegations and keep them on the highest divisions plus to upgrade even more the rewards on rivals WL etc, i know it's not cool for everybody but if they want the casuals to come back and maybe play their game, those are the two best options right now.

So, are you saying that by blocking relegations, the matchmaking system would become fairer?
I wouldn't be so sure...
I'm more inclined to think that this year the system is completely random, but I don't know why. Perhaps there were problems during development, or perhaps a patch inadvertently compromised the system.
The fact remains that because of this, many people are abandoning UT because it's impossible and frustrating to play under these conditions.
