Have been playing since Fifa 98, the game is dead. The focus is not on giving the users a halfway decent game, but rather in making it frustrating, so the less intelligent people spend real money buying coins.
When they release the game, usually the gameplay is alright. Then they go to work on it and it becomes shamefully bad.
EA now pay below average industry wages, they don't want talented devs to make great games. They want weaklings who don't give any pushback when the accountants want to make the creative decisions.
They don't care about long term profitability, it's just about short term cash grabs so the CEO can get his bonus. By the time the shareholders (now the saudis) realise they have been bamboozled, Andrew Wilson will be off enjoying his bonus money.
