What is the point

Question

First of all, I love this game, ive played it since Fifa 97, every year I've brought it and it's the only game I play.

Im not a top player, I get to elite regularly, and pick up between 10-12 wins in champs every week, but there are some players who are just so much better, and those people I dont mind losing to at all, unless the start being toxic, then controllers get broken.

I have both editions of this game, PS4, and PS5, I started on PS5, but the game just seemed broken with stupid animations so I went back to basics and played old gen, which to begin with was brilliant and honestly like a breath of fresh air.

Obviously if im making this post, it isn't anymore, and let's be fair EA aren't going to respond or do anything about it so im just going to rant at 1AM on a Wednesday morning.

I have a 95 rated team, its ridiculous and I've spent far too much money on this game. That's a problem in itself but one that I need to do myself, but this game makes me feel like im playing silver stars tournaments from games gone by. Heavy touches, all my players feel like they're as heavy as akinfenwa, they turn like tanks. The passes dont go where they should, I find myself making 250 plus passes a game, just to try and find an opening, only for the my opponent to block the shot because it seems so delayed.

Now if it's my connection, then great, tell me and I won't waste my money on this anymore, that's fine. But ive upgraded everything I possibly can just to get some decent game play. I've upgraded to a dual sense edge, a ps5 pro, heck I've even upgraded my router to a gaming router and run an internal ethernet cable all the way through the house much do my wifes dismay.

The reality is, nobody will tell me anything, they dont care at all, because people will still buy the game every year in the vain hope it will be OK, but every patch they release it gets worse.

I checked their 'connection checker' shock horror, ea say it's a great connection. So where is the issue? I wait till Tuesday night (previously Monday) to play, so the servers are less overloaded. But tonight has been the very worst it has been.

I just want to enjoy this game, or be told officially I cant enjoy it because of my location, the servers, the time im playing, or anything else.

At the moment it's a card collecting game, because the game is rubbish, and if that's the case I may aswell go and do trading cards or football stickers, at least you get something at the end of that.

My rewards are rubbish, hey that's just luck, but at the very least id like to enjoy the games to get those rewards.

Sry, but the game is trash... There is no saving it. Evry update just makes it even worse... They are completely clueless. Best you can do is not to buy it next year and move on top other games... Goals looks interesting and maybe Fifa 2k will be good... But dont give EA more money&nbsp;

Look, in my game, FC Hub and Clubs don't even open from the first month; I can only access Ultimate Team. It's ridiculous. I submit tickets, but they're automatically deleted, not read, or even sent.

I truly understand the feeling. I like FC's attacking game, but online, it seems quite often unbalanced in terms of player speed. Of course, I can get an easy win if my speed is better than others, vice versa, I will lose a game very easily when my speed is way lower than my opponents. This happens very often and makes the game less attractive because winning or losing depending on not really skills but luck for better connection. EA needs to think how to balance the speed level between each other.&nbsp;

Like the OP except I’ve been playing fifa, since fifa international football in something like 1993, way before most where born.
now while I believe ea peaked with fifa 16, and was ranked globally in top 30 on fifa street, all these changes for the better such as the impact engine, better AI etc has spoiled the game considerably.
I also have bad connections to some games of fifa with laggy movement, slow player reactions etc, even though I have a 500mbps hard wired to the router which is within 5 metres and my test to the connection on EAs website says I’m 1point below maximum available, EA always says it’s my fault on the connection side. There is nothing more I can do. I play games like Fortnite which runs the same servers the AWS service on 0-10 ping which I get also in FC26 as I have the counter on, but still issues exist.
EA are only in it for the money now from new promos, they refuse to stop hackers or at least put in a reporting system in game to flag it up. Unless the shop breaks. That’s fixed in seconds

I left a ticket last night after playing like 2-3 matches and witnessing the worst state of delay & suspicious gameplay (PC). I'm not a gamer myself but I loved FIFA since young ages (2001 was my first). UT was a peak idea for me always but this is the first year I actually had chance to experience it by myself, although I was watching the scene up to like 3 years ago, and I know mud gameplay, kick offs and everything else that goes with has had been a thing even back then. I know, we all make mistakes in personal & work lives (speaking of EA), but this is freaking key part of the game going on for years, and everyone is playing dumb or what? I was genuinely amazed how this was not constantly mentioned every day in the community, then I, as well, slowly blended in and accepted it is as it is, like a zombie, keeping playing it. However, last days it is horror.

They probably do know psychological tricks to keep you in it, but I honestly cannot believe how someone can be grinding (like me this year) and participate in this experience for one year and then decide it's perfectly fine to buy it again the next year. How, why? How are one does not feeling like a fool witnessing all of this from a leaders in the industry for like 30 years or so, from year to year, and still keep trusting them, giving them time, life energy, money. I, personally, do feel like that (which might be seen from a ticket up there😄) and I will surely make sure it does not happen again.
