You've monetized clubs, taken what made Clubs great. No fixes?
You've done it. You've monetized it. No more tweaking players in between games. I have to pay to reset my player now? And I can buy the club points to level myself up "to a threshold?" What if I don't like the way my player moves after I added something - I can't adjust the build anymore without paying to reset completely. That's pretty awful. If I don't like the path i've chosen with my player, I have to pay to reset and then hope I get it right... again? That's really gross. I also don't like how much of this is now tied to a season pass or the club store. People are going to be afraid to put points on attributes because they won't know how it'll affect their player, and it's all so permanent.
The playstyles were a nice touch these last couple seasons. Being able to use a playstyle to make up for a lack of certain stat made the player more responsive, but you've taken that away now. Now stats are going to be dependent on the ranges you've set. You may as well make this like CHEL and just give us specific player types we can choose from with almost no customization.
There's really not much about gameplay in this deep dive. Heavy touches? Keeper deflections to the opposition's foot? Instant give backs on tackles? Input delay? AI tactics or control? Still won't give us direct controls of the AI bots (god forbid you need a CB to make a tackle). You got rid of the trainer last year, so we cant' even see how bad the lock ons are. What's made the game "better?" I just see "different."
I'd like to hear what the rest of the community thinks, but this scares me a bit and I'm thinking of cancelling my pre-order. There's nothing in the pre-order for clubs anyway, right?
