any solution to input delay?

Input delay has happened previously (after some of the previous patches) but there was a way to fix it setting a monitor to 60hz and locking 60fps ingame but this time it doesn't help and moreover - the delay is up even in the game menu which also was not the case last time. Today's the last day of FUT champions and it's just unenjoyable and difficult and annoying to play the game and i cant finish the tournament. Apparently your developers are incompetent and they can't properly do their work related to PC and that's sad next time im definitely not gonna buy this game on PC because you guys suck at making games on it. 2 months after the release and the game is still messed up and full of issues.

  • Hi,

Is there any possible fix for this input delay on PC? it is virtually unplayable, I cant play in rivals, champs or tournaments without this lag. It takes about 3-5 seconds for my players to respond when I press a button or move the joystick. This is very disappointing considering this is one of the biggest gaming companies that makes billions of dollars.... how can they not offer any solution or fix for this, the game has been out for 2-3 months. I have tried everything that the internet/YouTube has to offer but none of these solutions work. My PC is more than capable of running this game, I want a solution or fix ASAP and so would the rest of PC community.

  • This game absolutely sucks for PC, and i second that.. The input delay has increased after the latest update.  I even faced stuttering, but thankfully now stuttering is gone.. but input delay is big issue.

  • Hi everyone,

I’m having a really frustrating problem with FC 26 on PC. Even though my computer is more than capable, the game feels like it’s in slow motion, and in Division Rivals there’s a noticeable input delay that makes online matches almost impossible.(5-10 seconds delay)i bought the game from steam

    My setup:

    GPU: NVIDIA RTX 2060

    CPU: Intel i7 10th Gen

    Monitor: 144 Hz

    What I’ve tried so far:

Capping FPS to 60 in-game and with RTSS

Capping FPS to 30 in-game it worked but not in division rivals

    Turning on and off V-Sync

Changing settings in nvidia control panel

    Running via NVIDIA Control Panel

    Clearing cache and temporary files

Uninstalling and installing anti cheats or whatever it is called

Closing background apps and using High Performance mode in Windows

Nothing seems to fix it. I’ve also read online that other PC players are running into the same problem, so I’m guessing this might be a PC-specific bug in the game engine.

Has anyone found a real fix for this, or can EA confirm if a patch is coming? Any help or advice would be amazing.

    Thanks!

there is no fix that we can do something, its EA that need to fix it.

  • Hi

When I play EA FC 26, I experience severe input delay and the whole game feels extremely slow. I’ve tested my internet thoroughly—I’m using wired ethernet on fiber, and all my speed tests are excellent. I even get a 99 connection score on EA’s test. This issue ONLY happens on EA FC, and it has been going on for years, but now it’s gotten so bad that I’m honestly considering quitting for good.

For example, my friend plays with 70 ping and packet loss, while I have 18 ping with zero packet loss, yet his gameplay is 10x smoother than mine. I can’t turn, pass, or even run properly. Everything feels delayed, heavy, and unresponsive—almost like the game is broken on my account.

Even offline modes have the same delay and sluggish gameplay. My friends have also played EA FC on my console at my house, using their own accounts, and they all say that my gameplay feels 10x worse than theirs, even though we’re using the same setup. That makes me think there is something wrong specifically with my account.

I read someone suggest it could be caused by “account-linked delay,” and honestly that might make sense because my account was hacked a few years ago. I got it back, but ever since then my gameplay has been terrible.

I talked to ea support, they told me to  delete corrupt files. That helps but the delay comes back within like 20-30min or so. I also tried factory resetting my ps5. did not help.

    Ea support said this:

Thanks for waiting. I have checked and I can see that this seems to be some server issue from our end. Some players are also facing the same issue. I can totally understand your situation and I would feel the same if this happened to me as I'm a gamer as well. But what I can do is that, I recorded about this issue in my case note so that I can report about this issue to the team to review and investigate further from our ends. And I suggest you to please post about this issue in our forums so that our team there can also check on it. Here is the link for our forums-

    Any help? Thanks

    Hello EA Team,

For the past few days I have been experiencing a serious issue with delayed controller response (input lag) in EA SPORTS FC 26, specifically in the Pro Clubs mode on PC.

The issue happens only during matches:

When the match starts, the controller already feels slightly heavy or delayed.
As the minutes go by, the delay increases progressively until the game becomes unplayable.
At that point, the player reacts 2 or 3 seconds late, gets stuck, or moves erratically.
However, once I leave the match and return to the main menu, everything goes back to normal — the controller responds perfectly, with no delay at all.

This confirms that the problem only occurs during matches, not in the system or the controller itself.

To rule out any hardware issue, I have tested the controller on websites dedicated to gamepad input and performed continuous movements.
The controller responds in real time, with no interruptions or signal loss.
I also tested different USB cables and ports, always with normal results.

In addition, I have tried everything possible on the system side:

I fully formatted my PC and reinstalled the game from scratch.
Updated GPU, chipset, and controller firmware drivers.
Verified game files via EA App.
Tested with Steam Input disabled and default configurations.
Set the power plan to “High performance” and disabled overlays (Steam, Game Bar, GeForce Experience).
Switched between fullscreen, borderless window, and limited FPS.

Despite all this, the issue remains the same. That is why I believe something in the game may have changed recently and is affecting online gameplay, especially in Pro Clubs mode.

I would greatly appreciate if you could register this case and confirm whether there are ongoing investigations about this behavior, as it does not appear to be a hardware or local configuration issue.

Thank you very much for your time and attention.
I look forward to any further instructions or tests I can perform to help resolve this issue.

    Kind regards,
    Mikel Gutierrez
