Can't play with a friend in FC 26

Question

Hi there, Could someone help me here. Both my friend and i are using PS5 and on the ultimate edition but we are not able to play with each other. FC 26 keeps saying add friends with FC ultimate team. We are friends playing FC and previously fifa for a long time. This is the first time im facing such an issue.

Not sure if it is due to the early access or is this a bug that we are facing? I hope somoene can assist me with this. Thank you.
