Connecting to Ultimate Team is Not Possible – PS5

I am experiencing an ongoing issue accessing Ultimate Team in EA SPORTS FC 26 on PlayStation 5. Whenever I try to enter Ultimate Team, I receive the following error message: “Connecting to Ultimate...

what fixed this for me was:
1- access companion app and delete all existing squads (replace with an empty active squad)
2- power cycle the console (hard reset and disconnect from power for 30 seconds)

After this I was able to connect again.

    I only seemed to be able to access the companion app when not on the same wifi as my console.  Otherwise it would say please log out of your console.  Then these steps worked. Thanks!
