Controller Isssues since patch

I am playing FC26 on PC with an Xbox controller

Since patch response on the menus is unresponsive/double selecting, so you can't really get into a game, if I use the mouse to get into a game it keeps dropping out the controller to the select controller screen and getting me to re-select the controller then immedietely taking me back to the controller select screen when I go back into the game

I have tried playing three other games I use the controller for and they all work fine.
