DirectX error since 2.11.2025
Since the latest Battlefield 6 update (around Nov 1–2, 2025), the game crashes consistently with a DirectX error on PC. The error appears after joining a match.
Error popup shows:
DirectX function "m_submitFencePlat->GetCompletedValue()" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The video card has been physically removed from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occurred. "). GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. Driver: 581.42
DeviceRemovedReason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG ("The GPU will not respond to more commands")
Important notes:
• The game was running perfectly before the Nov patch, nothing was changed on my system.
• Full clean NVIDIA driver reinstall done via DDU, several driver versions tested → same result.
• Other DX12 titles (example: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024) run stable and do NOT crash → hardware is OK.
• Happens only in Battlefield 6 and only after the latest update.
• Affected GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti (Pascal) - but other players report same issue on 1070, 1080 and some RTX models.
• Disabling overlays, reinstalling Visual C++ runtimes, deleting DX shader cache → no effect.

Request:
Please confirm if this issue is known and if a hotfix is planned for Pascal GPUs or DX12 renderer stability.
Happy to provide crash logs or dxdiag if needed.
