  • A little more info. I logged in with my child's user (they don't play FC26 so had no profile). After a couple of minutes, when trying to go to play the initial UT match after picking a squad, the 'Downloading' msg displayed for a while, before the 'There was a problem connecting to the Football Ultimate Team servers. Please try again later.' msg was displayed. This is typical of the behaviour I've been seeing. My PS5 is still connected to the network.

  • Playing on PS5. It's been fine since launch, but the last week terrible. I'll take a look at that article, thanks. I don't think deleting squads will resolve it, but I can try. There seems to be many other users complaining of similar issues. To me, it seemed to coincide with the drop in price of FC26. Many more users hitting the servers?

    Hey folks,

    I have a few questions, and a few recommendations for you both:

    • What platform do you play on specifically?
    • How long have you had this problem?

     

    • Could you try following the steps in this article to delete potentially corrupt update files within your game?
    • Could you try deleting your squad via the web/companion app? Don't delete the players themselves! Just the squad. You can make it again afterwards, but let me know if that helps at all.
  • This is plaguing me! Disconnections during SBCs, searching for players in my squad, initiating matches, during matches, after matches... The game has become unplayable in the last week or so.
