Disconnecting

A little more info. I logged in with my child's user (they don't play FC26 so had no profile). After a couple of minutes, when trying to go to play the initial UT match after picking a squad, the 'Downloading' msg displayed for a while, before the 'There was a problem connecting to the Football Ultimate Team servers. Please try again later.' msg was displayed. This is typical of the behaviour I've been seeing. My PS5 is still connected to the network.
