EA AntiCheat (Javelin) crashes on Windows 11 25H2 (Build 26200)

Hi,

I'm unable to launch EA FC 26 on PC (Steam) due to an EA AntiCheat crash every time I try to start the game. I have analyzed the generated crash dump files and can confirm the following:

• Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xC0000005)

• Faulting module: EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.dll

• Exception type: DEP/NX violation at the DLL's own base address

• OS: Windows 11 Pro 25H2 (Build 26200.8328)

• CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D

• GPU: AMD RX 9070 XT

Steps I have already tried without success:

• Uninstalled and reinstalled EA AntiCheat multiple times

• Disabled Discord overlay

• Added FC 26 folder to Windows Defender exclusions

• Verified game file integrity via Steam

This is a known incompatibility between EA Javelin AntiCheat and Windows 11 25H2 (Build 26200), reported by many users across FC 26 and Battlefield 6 threads. The game worked correctly before updating to 25H2.

This is not a user-side configuration issue — it requires an EA AntiCheat driver update for Windows 11 25H2 compatibility. Please prioritize a fix.

Thank you.

  • Have you managed to fix it? I am having the same issue.

I FINALLY FIXED IT. I found a workaround for the startup crash after EA AntiCheat.

    IMPORTANT:
Before doing anything, make a backup of your original folder (for example by renaming it to “EA SPORTS FC 26 - old”), since it contains your careers, profiles, settings, etc.

The solution is to copy the folder:

    C:\Users<user>\AppData\Local\EA SPORTS FC 26

from a friend whose game launches correctly.

If you don’t know anyone who can share the folder, you can use this one:

    Steps:

    1. Backup your original folder.
    2. Copy the working folder into:
      C:\Users<user>\AppData\Local\
    3. Launch the game.
    4. If EA App asks to repair the game, you can safely do it.
    5. Once the game launches correctly, close it.
    6. Copy back your original folder to recover your careers, profiles, settings, etc.

In my case this completely fixed the issue after days of trying:

    • Windows reinstalls,
    • multiple PCs,
    • AntiCheat,
    • drivers,
    • BIOS,
    • Amazon Luna, etc.
